Amanda Luthra, founder of Chilly Paste Co was born in Montreal and raised in Toronto. Her love for eating flavourful food came at an early age. She remembers her mother and grandmothers cooking delicious dishes with simple and fresh ingredients.
When she met her husband 10 years ago in India, she threw herself into spices and learned how to layer the flavours of regional North Indian cooking, specifically dishes from Amritsar. Trips to India and cooking with her in-laws opened new doors. She learned to pair flavours, and roast ingredients to maximize the flavour in a dish.
